Ok I installed it. Some question marks here: Urlfilter/contentfilter, Import password, Site Preferences, Modify toolbars, use of custom context menu..
I Have already tried Opera 15 when it came out, didn't like it. And now with 20. the same thing. Already uninstalled it.
There ABSOLUTELY needs to be Opera 12.x with this Facebook bug fixed!

Not going to happen I'm afraid.
Opera 12 will only receive important security patches from now on.
There won't be any improvement in site compatibility, in fact it will only get worse as time goes on.
In fact I have a custom button on my Opera 12.17 toolbar, which if I have a problem with a site I just press it and the page opens in Opera 22 (the Developer version). After I've done what I need to do there I just close Opera 22 and go back to surfing with Opera 12.

Opera 12 will only have security updates, you will have more problems then now.

ok. But there's a chance that FB changes the way Opera works better with it. Thanks for all the answers!

Opera 20 is the same as many other browsers that can not and nothing to me is useless. It is a pity that the development of Opera 12 is over. It's time to find a different browser.

Is partly wines Opera Presto engine rather. We can't remedy, isn't developed. I like the new Blink (Opera 20).

For what it's worth, I find that Facebook works badly with Firefox as well. I'm certain it's Facebook's scripting. They have all those ads on the side, which constantly refresh, and certain browsers aren't built to handle it. It's all part of the "new Web", which has gone mobile.
I've been trying lots of different browsers this past week, and found two or three that work well with Facebook. Opera 20 is one of them. I won't say the others on this forum because that wouldn't be fair to the Opera team.

Urlfilter/contentfilter, Modify toolbars, use of custom context menu
Only via third-party solutions or extensions.Import password
There's a command to run to import saved passwords from 12.x to the new Opera if it didn't import automatically. If you use a master password there's an additional parameter.Site Preferences
Depends on what you need, you'll find JS, cookies, etc, in the settings plus the zoom level which is saved automatically for each domain. There's also an extension to extend and facilitate the use of these options in daily use. -

What's the point of using that outdated and unsupported Firefox version? Plus, it doesn't offer half of the features you asked.

It's only for Facebook. And it works very well with it. 15.0.1 was the first version of FF to support Spdy version 3 protocol, which FB also supports.

Correction: 15.0 was the first version of FF to support Spdy version 3 protocol. 15.0.1 is just some cosmetic update i suppose.

I have the same problem. I now run Firefox alongside Opera 12.17. Firefox for Facebook and Gmail (which lag in Opera), and Opera for the rest.

I don't find Gmail particularly lagging with Opera 12.17. Of course it can be, if you have lots of mail. I don't have that much so i can't tell.

I've being using Opera for 10+ years and it's been my preferred browser for it's great set of features that are present until v.12.17. Since Opera decided to discontinue all those features and a Desktop interface (I use Win 8.1) and support for Opera 12.17, I can only say good bye to Opera and move on to Firefox. It's a damn shame!
