I think it has to do with FB scripting. It's not only me, this is a problem also with others i know (using Opera 12.17 and either W7 or W8).

I have tried several things to fix this problem via settings changes, but with no joy. Btw, with IE browser there's NO problem.

I would like to continue using 12.x version, and it would be really nice if you could take a look with this problem.

Thanks.

I'm certain it's Facebook's scripting. They have all those ads on the side, which constantly refresh, and certain browsers aren't built to handle it. It's all part of the "new Web", which has gone mobile.

I've been trying lots of different browsers this past week, and found two or three that work well with Facebook. Opera 20 is one of them. I won't say the others on this forum because that wouldn't be fair to the Opera team.

Opera 12 will only receive important security patches from now on.
There won't be any improvement in site compatibility, in fact it will only get worse as time goes on.
In fact I have a custom button on my Opera 12.17 toolbar, which if I have a problem with a site I just press it and the page opens in Opera 22 (the Developer version). After I've done what I need to do there I just close Opera 22 and go back to surfing with Opera 12.
