Opera profile shortcuts broken by Windows update

After a Windows update today, my Opera profile shortcuts on the desktop appear to be broken or have been moved. They were functioning correctly before the update. The shortcuts no longer launch the intended Opera profiles. How can I restore my Opera profile shortcuts to their previous working state?
