Split Screen in Opera Air – Why It’s a Great Idea

Hey Opera team!
I’m really impressed with the idea behind Opera Air as a minimalistic, mindfulness-focused browser. However, the more I use it, the more I feel the absence of one crucial feature – Split Screen, which is available in other Opera versions.
Why would Split Screen fit perfectly into Opera Air’s philosophy? Because it’s the best way to enable intentional, structured multitasking. Sometimes, you need to work with two pages at once – for example, taking notes on one screen while reading an article on the other. Without Split Screen, users constantly switch between tabs, breaking their focus and disrupting their workflow. The ability to view two pages side by side allows for smoother, more organized work without unnecessary distractions.
Additionally, this feature would align perfectly with Opera Air’s core ideas: no need for multiple windows, better workspace organization, and less cognitive overload. I’d love to know if there are any plans to introduce it in future updates. It would be a game-changer for those who appreciate a calm browsing experience but also need efficient multitasking!
Thanks for the great work, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
