Opera sync not working

@leocg
sorry, but it does not working ·as it should"; see the explanation in my reply of about 2 hours ago: the data of what is supposed to be synchronized are not correct, so only 17 of 259 passwords saved on your server are synchronized, and nothing else, and in the opera://sync-internals dialog it only mentions 23 passwords to be synchronized, and not the 259 that are on your server (and it does not even synchronize the 23, but only 17 of them), so no, although it is green, it is not doing a synchronization of the server data... -

@jpvdbl The synchronisation process in itself is working, your Opera is accessing the server and is getting data from the server and sending data to it. That's what I mean.
Now, if there is data not being synchronised, it's a different issue. It may take a while for all the data to sync.

Three days later the result is still the same: opera://sync-internals keeps on telling me that there are only 23 passwords to be synchronised, and the web https://www.sync.opera.com/ keeps on stating the correct info, that there are 259 passwords to be symchronised... So there is clearly a problem with the connection on your server, since the whole package pf passwords seems not to be seen, and therefore not synchronised...
I have the impression that there is no solution you will offer us, so we should shift to another browser, I suppose, that does do correct synchronisation... -

@leocg
as far as I can see, yes: the Bookmarks I could recover them from a former install on another PC, but passwords were not there neither
After 4 days the situation keeps on being the same: website/server says there are 259 passwords saved on your server ti be synchronised, but your synchronisation tool keeps on reporting only 23, so apparently does not "see" the other 223 passwords on your server, which I lost... -

@leocg I am now doing the test you proposed: removed all the bookmarks and all the passwords that were on opera, and logged in.
Now server-information says there are 401 bookmarks to be synchronised, and 260 passwords... But the panel on "opera://sync-internals" only is green for device info, user consents and security events ("Running"), but all the other items are still marked as "Not Running"... I will update you if there are changes, but panel keeps on mentioning (15 min. later) only these three items as running -

bow everything is in green "Running" in the panel, but states 398 Bookmarks (so rather close to the 401 mentioned on your server, but not all of them, apparently), and, now, 24 passwords and not the 260 that are on your server...
The bookmarks are being put on my opera now (so, it is working there), but on the password chapter, only 21 are being put there... The other 239 passwords keep on being on your server, but missing in my opera account... -

@leocg
on your latest reply: no, only the password was asked for, not the passphrase (which was never set up).
on your former remark: sorry, I did understand it wrong; now I did what you asked, removing the content of the Sync Data folder. I will update what happens next (until now nothing important: only the three items I mentioned before (device info, user consents and security events) are running) -

Now, 6 hours after having deleted content of Sync Data folder the system does not run synchronisation, except for the three former items that are running on synchronisation, the other ones (passwords, bookmarks, etc) keep on stating 0, and not running...
I suppose I will have to put the content of the folder back in order to get it working again? -

I've tried it again (erasing content and logging in afterwards), and now everything is running on the panel of opera://sync-internals, but with the same result as before: only 24 passwords are stated to be synchronised, whilst on the website https://www.sync.opera.com is still stated, correctly, that there are 260 to be synchronised...
