      @nefret1453 Opened tabs are stored in the Sessions folder inside the profile directory.

            On Windows, the "Sessions" folder should be in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Default".

            Are you sure you made a backup of the whole ""C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable" folder from the old computer (including the "Default" folder)?

            You should see files like this in it:

            Session_13348571665369126
            Session_13348656000326931
            Tabs_13348571665673553
            Tabs_13348656002298614

            The Session_timestamp files contain your opened tabs and should contain what islands and workspaces they belong to.

            The Tabs_timestamp files contain your recently-closed tabs list.

            If you're able to find them, you can delete all files in the current "Sessions" folder and place copies of the backups there to see if your tabs get restored. Just note that sometimes this might not from one computer to the next.

              @burnout426

              Ahoy!

              If I wanted to alter this file to close some tabs and do some general purpose tab management, how would that be possible? I tried opening the file in notepad and it didnt open right. It appears to have some kind of encoding. Is there some program I can use to open it and read it in plain text?

                @bigmell See https://www.google.com/search?q=chromium+snss+file+format. You'll have to find or write an SNSS file parser that supports writing changes back to the file.

                    @marius-ss Please open a new topic to discuss it. Or use one of the existing ones about transferring data from one installation to the other.
