Slow Google Search When Using The Address Bar

@leocg Opera One, and it seems that within a private window the search is super quick. I'm thinking maybe an extension is the cause of this; however ofttimes if I have a slow search, doing it a second time, it happens instantaneously. It's very frustrating to have to wait some 8-10 seconds for a search result to appear.

@bbildman I spoke too soon, and though the offending long searches are still there, they are somewhat quicker. It usually happen when I use my text cursor to outline some text and search for that from the Opera search popup. For instance, when I outlined the words in the previous sentence "Opera search popup" it took some 15 seconds to return the search result.

@bbildman You can try disabling extensions to see if it makes any difference
Leo, I now have narrowed the issue down to Google search (at least on my laptop (win 10 and Opera_114.0.5282.154). If I change my search engine to DuckDuckGo, the searches happen instantaneously, whereas the slowed search happens with Google, if the search term is entered on the address bar or outlined test in a page.

And what a difference if you change the Opera default search engine to DuckDuckGo (or any other than Google)...instantaneous

@leocg Of interest, as of Now this morning (don't know how long it will last) Google searches working normally no matter where I do the search (this after I had changed the search engine setting to DuckDuckGo, and then back again to Google this AM, turned off the laptop overnight). I will report in a day or so to see if it resorts back to slow searches.

@bbildman The same happens on a private window?
Hi Leo, with the advent of Opera One(version: 115.0.5322.77), the slow Google searches seems to have been corrected. Now all seems to be as it should be, thanks to you and burnout for y'all's help.

Use DDG for all searches, no DB who saves it till end of time, and gives nice suggestions, when 3th site takes all your Private info.
DuckduckGo - Redirect email adres, no Db for saving all your pers. info. etc.. Check it out!!
