@thedrummer only 1 work space of islands dissappeared on my case. There is no way recovering it from history too.

It happened to me too. All tab islands gone but the ones in the first work space. Very
annoying! -

this happens to me on a regular basis, after an update or closing and opening opera all islands except for the current workspace are dissolved - tabs remain but are not grouped in islands

Same here for me. The not open workspaces all loose their islands but tabs remain. And seems to happen after a shutdown or even just a close and reopen.

This is still an issue! I had experienced so much frustration with this! Fix this please.
There are a few of these minor bugs of basic features that are very annoying. I am using opera since 2000s but I am seriously thinking of switching because of these.

@thedrummer Dont use tab, i get BSsites. Need my sites
This will stay till pc explodes.... Read settings of OS and browser close AF.... Don't update OS or Opera before you know what will be installed....

Yes it's the same thing here too, still after all this time.
And what do you know, today on the workspace that actually have been working - all tabs and islands are gone...
How hard can this be?
This is 2024 now, so one should at least expect these small basic things to work..
Is it microsoft that is making this now??

Same here, since almost one year. Internet is full of complaints about that issue, yet no solution except changing the browser... so annoying!

Same here. So much effort to create these islands and they just disappear. I have the latest version of Opera; it doesn't matter. So much innovation in this browser but way too much instability and no apparent efforts to fix it.

it have not happen to me...
but far as I know it...
to reopen /restore closed tabs i normally use:A). ~ keyboard shortcut: [Ctrl+shift+T] on windows or [Command+shift+T] on macOS.
B). ~ Right click over tab [reopen closed tab]
Have none try this before ??!
