Youtube live chat is not loading on opera gx

Same prolem, exists for a long time and only on Opera (both on UNIX and Windows platforms). Any fixes, Opera team?

Devs look into this.. I dont want to switch to Chrome just for youtube.. It's been months now

I went to the console and checked, caused by the service worker so I download "no service worker" extension and it works.

@TheStormBum If u saw something like
"The FetchEvent for "https://www.youtube.com/live_chat?......" resulted in a network error response: the promise was rejected." then it's probably caused by service worker. You can also try to click the url to see if you can access the website or not.

@Afku2137 Nice, just to add on, since this issue only happens on youtube live chat, you can just only enable this extension on youtube and disable it on other website as service worker is used to make the website to load faster (slightly faster) and have notifications, so it is better to have service worker enabled on other websites.

To do this just go to youtube -> top right extension -> triple dot beside the no service worker -> page access -> always run on youtube

Still a problem, takes a few minutes to load. Didn't try the extension, this should be fixed by Opera team.

@LolLeetx Thanks, works for now and just to be safe I went ahead and only allowed it access to YT. Oddly enough, with holodex youtube live chat loads immediately even without this addon.
