Opera is not Syncing Data

So, I don't know for how long and after how many updates. Opera is not syncing my data (bookmark, passwords).
It says "Data is Synchronized". But after many Log in and Log out. Not data is being synchronized.
Each device is keeping a local copy. And the data that is synchronized is old.
Today, I got tried and downloaded OperaGX. It synced to the old data (because in the cloud there is old data that synced, both the Desktop and Android device can't sync my data).
So, my data is in different states:
- Desktop
- Android
- Cloud/OperaGX (Because here, data is being synced)
Note: In all device, it says that "Data is Synchronized"
I made a local HTML copy of my bookmarks. And deleted my bookmarks on OperaGX (That were synced). And it updated on Cloud (That's how I knew that on OperaGX data is being Synced).
Any changes on both the Android and Desktop doesn't sync. And both are updated, Desktop was updated today.
This is soooooo stupid, and all my data is at risk of being lost at any point.
SO, I said I will just move all my data to OperaGX. But it can't import from HTML copy of my bookmarks.
It loads for a bit, then says done. And nothing, no bookmarks.I open the HTML to see if it even have anything it is, and it contains everything.
So, my guess is there is a bookmark that contains a character or something, that breaks syncing. That's why, on both Desktop & Android it doesn't sync (because they contain that weird data).
And OperaGX doesn't accept the HTML copy of bookmarks (because HTML copy contain that weird data).
I want to know. How can I make a local copy of:
- Android
- Passwords
- Bookmarks
- Desktop
- Password
Bookmarks(Made a HTML copy, The on which doesn't import on OperaGX)
Then when my data is saved, combined them into one. And put it OperaGX.
If OperaGX also fails, I'm just gonna switch to Firefox. But I would still need my Bookmarks and Passwords.- Desktop
Opera One(version: 111.0.5168.25
- Android
82.6.4342.80044

I posted about this over in https://forums.opera.com/topic/72055/duplicated-my-opera-tabs-and-bookmarks-won-t-sync-across-computers but I am having a similar issue.
My sync issue is between two Macs running Opera One version 111.0.5168.25 on arm64.
I have verified both are logging into the same Opera account and both have Sync for everything enabled. But Bookmarks and history are not syncing between the two. I have tried closing and restarting Opera on both, including having both closed at the same time. Starting one and giving it enough time to Sync (though it is always a guess), and then starting the other to see if it's bookmarks file is updated.
This problem appears to have been going on for a little while, maybe a few weeks or even a few months, as there were differences between bookmarks that I hadn't noticed.

@chris-in-eugene 100% the same problem.
You can export Passwords and Bookmarks on Desktop. History I don't know.
I was able to import bookmarks from the local HTML copy... But I think that the syncing on OperaGX is broken now...
Gonna give it a day... If it doesn't work... Just gonna switch to Firefox.

Same between Windows 11 & an Android device. Been true for weeks but just hadn't taken any action other than confirming that both devices are correctly logged in and sync is turned on. Definitely going to prompt me to look for another browser solution if this is not resolved soon.

I'm having the same problem.
Post in Japanese
https://forums.opera.com/topic/72688It's not reflected on this page either, so I guess the cloud sync isn't working properly.

@thetoonz I have today been experiencing the same issues as everyone else here has mentioned.
I have deleted numerous bookmarks and speed dials, got everything how I want it, emptied the bin, cleared all history apart from passwords, but then when closing opera and opening it again, all the stuff I have just deleted returns, so bored with no support from Opera, I'm leaving and going over to Edge, shame because Opera used to be the best, now its a convoluted mess!!!!!! -

Same problem here!
Multiple win 11 computers, android phone & tablet. Last day of sync was about 5 months ago. Ever since, nothing is synced, although no errors are shown

Same here.
Last sync was in April. I even try a full new fresh install and still nothing, it just doesn't sync. Mind you, my flow is working most of the time now even if everything else doesn't (it didn't use to work at all for months).
Seems to me the problem is either on opera servers or it's
coding. -

It would be nice if there could be a developer mode or something that would allow us to see any sync issues. Maybe in a log, or something that would point us in the right direction as to what is going wrong.

@thetoonz That is the same error showing up, but I can't find any more information about it. However, I did find other browsers, also based on Chromium, with the same issues, this one for Brave: https://community.brave.com/t/how-do-i-sync-history-now/523196/12
