@phermium: Hello Richard, many thnx for your reply. Yes installing 2.8.2 of the chrome stored indeed has some serious issues like page freezeĀ“s or in my my case almost infinite finds of word hits. on one page your extension shows me like 1500 hits then opera freezed and i had to close it via task manager. This version here on the opera store, works wonderful but i miss the nice Bulk-Edit window for words and phrases of 2.8. next week i will install it again of the chrome store and hopfully find the time to report you what i found, as soon as possible.

@domovnik You can find the "developer" versions of the Filter on the Github Releases page. Note that because they are not installed from a store (Opera, Chrome, etc), they will lack being signed/trusted, and will have to be installed in a developer mode. Browsers do this to help protect users from installing extensions that haven't been properly analyzed, which happens before they get added to their store, and there is no way for me to work around that limitation.
To manually one of the "developer" versions just download the "extension.zip" from the desired release, extract it to a folder, and then follow the quick instructions.
I wouldn't recommend it for daily use, but it works fine for testing.

@domovnik That is definitely some strange behavior, and I'm very curious to know where you were seeing it. It would be helpful to know an example website that it happens on, and also if you have customized your config, if you could email it to me I can try to see what might be going on.

I use this to correct some egregious bad grammar instead of profanities.
It works, but it could use some logic around the context of words in order to be more usable for my case. -

@karlll: I believe you can use the "substitute" function in the drop down, in order to replace the words with another.

Didn't use it for profanity (I love profanity) but used it to make language more gender neutral. I just got really tired of reading things like "man-made" when we as a society should have moved on by now. Thanks for this great tool! So glad I didn't have to make it myself
