Hi guys, I have got a strange issue on 2 of my computers that I have installed Opera browser and here are the details with respect to each laptop.
HP Laptop Win10 (Home), I have been using this machine for few years and have installed Opera for long time but then few weeks earlier I realized that Opera was missing from task bar and only shows blank spot on taskbar, when clicked it said opera not found, can I delete the icon, I said yes. It was strange as I use firefox & opera same time almost everyday and nobody has uninstalled anything, anyways I reinstalled again and funny part it started updating it and opened up my old tabs with my Opera account logged in. Fine, using it again for a week and then same thing repeated, I did the similar updates again and now running fine.Lenovo WIn10 (Work), exact same thing as above happened with work computer and I was baffled why and how, at work we have about 10 computers and they all have Opera but that issue only happened to 1 laptop, did the same thing as above and now working.
So, I would like to ask you guys did anyone had similar issues and if did, what was the remedy to it rather installing again.

@mmqureshi Opera was removed, meaning that you couldn't find Opera's installation directory, or it just lost the shortcuts in taskbar?

@leocg Yes gone somehow but looks like it left its profile file there as whenever I reinstalled it, it brings the last tabs opened and logged in to Opera account. I did not check the Program File folder though but when I click Task bar link, it just deletes it that can't find it, searched opera from desktop, nothing found. So far it has not happened again yet it was crazy that it happened twice on 2 separate laptops, different locations.

Would you mind sharing if you've encountered a similar issue with Opera disappearing from the taskbar on your computers? If so, what steps did you take to resolve it? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

@joshsiddle8 Yeah the opera icon disappeared, only left blank icon, when clicked it said Opera cannot be found, can we delete this icon, yes, then I looked for Opera and it was not there, I just simply reinstalled it and it has worked since then. Mind you that on my home laptop, it happened twice but on work it happened once.
