New Opera window pops up randomly

@leocg - Well I was just playing chess. No keyboard involved, just mouse clicks and it popped up.
At the time there was a pause (no mouse click) when it popped up.

@leocg - Yes, I have Chrome, but only use it on rare occasions.

@02ebz06 Just for testing purpose, set Chrome as default browser for some time and check if the windows still open in Opera.

@manuc44 Is Opera opened when the new window pop-ups? Are you using Opera when the issue happens?

Chrome and Opera are opened all the time.

@leocg - Since @manuc44 is having same problem, I suspect a change in Opera is the cause.
I've made no changes.

I will try changing Chrome to default.

I don't have the issue either. It seems most that are reporting it are having issues with Opera updating to the latest version. Maybe it's related. Try https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/comments/1bjpowa/comment/kxmhhuu/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 to make sure you're using the latest version.

Another thing to try if you do have 109.0.5097.38 (the latest at the moment) is to goto the URL opera://serviceworker-internals and click "unregister" for each service worker listed.

Probably shouldn't have done all this. If it works, won't know what fixed it...
Chrome is now default.
Not sure what version I was at, as I just updated to 109.0.5097.38.
And unregistered the service workers.
