Clearing cache in Opera 12

I can't clear all my cache files. Can you advise me? I am using Opera 12 on WinXP.
I tried to clear the cache using menu option "Tools" > "Delete Private Data" > check box "Delete Entire Cache" > press "Delete". However this still leaves cache files and folders.
For example there are folders called "assoc002" and "assot002" in my cache folder which contains lots of entries. There are also many folders with strange names and numbers in my cache folder.
Is it okay to delete all those folders manually?
Is there a setting or menu option to delete them?
