Unable to log in with Google account

I recently started using Opeta because of its privacy. However I needed my bookmark and other stuff from my Google account. So I tried to login with my Google account but I was unable because cookies were not enable. I tried to get help at the Opera forum but I had to creat an account which I was not able because I am not allowing cookies. So I had to use Google Chrome to sign up for an Opera browser account
I created and account with Opera on Chrome went back to the Opera browser but still cannot login with my Google account because cookies are not enable
. Am I missing something? If I have to turn cookies on for Opera to work, there is no much difference with Chrome then 
I have a Google Pixel 4XL running Android 13, Opera browser is up to date, VPN is off because Opera won't work when I use public WiFi and the ad blocker is on. -

@el-pollo-loco You will need to have cookies enabled to login on almost all accounts in almost all browsers, cookies are one of the main parts of the web

@el-pollo-loco Logging in to Opera using your Google account will not give you access to the data stored there.

@leocg I'm having a hard time figuring out how to allow cookies in Opera. Where do I go? I'm not an expert but it is just not intuitive

@el-pollo-loco They are allowed by default. So, unless you have disabled them, they should be working.

@leocg I don't get it. If I cannot access the data on my Google account, what is the point of signing into Google?

@el-pollo-loco Your Google credentials is used only for identification. Opera doesn't really have access to your data.

@el-pollo-loco If you want to access your data in your Google account, you need to go to Google page and login with your Google account.
