Good morning. In the regular Opera browser there is an islands feature. Is there any possibility to add this feature to the Opera GX browser?

@kapitan-szymon Opera was on the pioneers when it comes to tab islands. They were introduced many many years ago. Until they decided to replace it with workspaces that no one really use. I don't get it!

@ijyrem Tabs groups was a experimental feature in Opera Presto, it was discontinued because it wasn't working as it should.
Workspaces cake more than a decade later.

@leocg Maybe back then it was not called tab islands but they had a feature where you can drag a tab on top of another one which will group them together. Then you can expand it to see all tabs in the group. I vaguely remember seeing it around 10 years ago, give or take.

Pity. When I saw this feature, I thought about moving to the Opera browser. But Opera GX is too cool.

@ijyrem Like I said, it was kind of an experimental feature.
