Can't load email in Opera Mail

I've just installed Opera Mail and can't see any email.I get a pop up message "The server responded:User does not have a subscription for Desktop Access". What is this and how do I sign up?

You need to set up an e-mail account. Have you done that?

Yes I have.In the "Authentication failed" pop up, the account username lists my email address

Check username and password (retyping them sometimes help), server name and port. Also try other authentication methods if the case.

Sounds like something is not set up correctly for your user account on the server. Can you connect fine with other mail clients like Thunderbird?

Or maybe you are trying to gain pop3 access to a free Yahoo mail account ?.
