Sidebar widens with each new opening

I realized that when I open the sidebar, let's say Telegram or WhatsApp e.g. they widen every time I open them again, even within one and the same session.
You may reproduce by simply clicking and closing and will see how it's walking slowly to the right.
That's no major annoyance, but still unpleasant.
