@maxx8uk There is no way to stop the guest account opera one from updating when I closed opera. So I tried it after it updated to 100.0.4815.47 and got pre roll ads.
That was when I went back to the main account and got the Opera One ad pre roll and posted the previous comment.

But now the next vid had no pre roll ? tried 3 more and no ads.

I have been submitting bug reports about it so maybe support updated the
Block Ads - Manage lists on 100.0.4815.47
to bring it back inline with 100.0.4815.20
      ?
I will repost if ads return in case its a case of you get ads after a certain amount of time (a quota each day) or
you get more ads after hitting an amount of vids watched limit.

Ok weird I noticed that opera needed an update ?

Some how my main account Opera is now running version 100.0.4815.30 of Opera one ?

If I close opera it has 100.0.4815.47 ready to load !

I never even downloaded .30 to try on main or guest account wtf ?

Glad to know it wasn't just me.
I can get used to tweaks in appearance, but the adblocker extension not working is a show stopper.
And it started, ie, the ads started, with One.

@maxx8uk Youtube is cracking down on that, and will no longer allow users with active ad blockers to use the site. It good anyway, to support the creator with the ads.

Same here. Most ads are blocked but the prerolls on YT sneak through. I had no such problem before last update (or two).

@imagi I'm still running 100.0.4815.30 and no pre roll ads with that version. It just means I can't close opera or shut down my PC as Opera will update back to 100.0.4815.47 .

I'll wait till the next update and check that version out on a guest account to see if Opera decide to bring back you tube blocking.

@leocg allowing that makes youtube ads not loading in a way that an infinite loading icon is shown on the ad and the video can not be accessed.. please fix the ad issue which came out with opera one... the others told the truth, this is a very important part of opera i think and we need this

downloaded Opera one version 100.0.4815.20 to a guest account.

Accessed you tube and no ads.

So it is a change by opera in the update that now allows ads on you tube. Why ?

@makiwara Here the ads keep trying to load for a few seconds and, then, the video starts

@leocg you are right, the video starts to play but after 10-15 seconds so that is why I did not expect the videos to play. Honestly even 3-4 seconds waiting would be catastrophic..

I'm on 4815-76 and getting ads have been for a week tbh no matter which version i have been on and then updated to no avail. Have also been hoping when updating that the starthomepage button will come back to the address bar as it is such a way of life for me and no doubt 90% of the population, having to go to the bottom left corner is so alien to me.

What I loved about Opera is the fact that YouTube ads were blocked. Since I just upgraded to Opera One, now I see the ads. Why the change? I don't like it!

@taureanfighter I think its that Opera One has just appeared. Its in general, not just YouTube. I think that they are now trying to put the adblockers to work which will come with updates. That's just me
