how can i set my own pictures as my desktop background?

What a pity that you cannot help me!
It's very strange:
All images are formatted in JPEG, various sizes!
And yet some (about 10%) are accepted as background, others are not (although the same size)!!
Maybe it's OPERA?

@wolfgangw Those all work for me, but it looks like the forum modifies them etc. Can you zip up the 3 pics, upload the zip file somewhere and link to it?

I tried but the zip file won't link.
the following message:
"ERROR: You do not have sufficient permission to perform this action!"

Sorry, I don't have a file hosting service and I don't want to create one (for cost reasons)!
