Option to "Sync Extensions" in Advanced Sync Settings

@stealthgyro said in Option to "Sync Extensions" in Advanced Sync Settings:
I jump between devices all the time, not to mention you have a whole ad campaign with Xzibit now about pimping your mother******* browser. Well I want to sync everything I've done to customize my browser including my extensions and settings for said extensions.
I'm still hoping that at some point in the not too distant future that the opera developers will seriously consider implementing the addition of including the addition of extensions in the syncing function.

Hey devs (more like management). You just don't give a s*it, right? Let's create 15 more browser variants and offer VPN on mobile 10x times a day (contradicts the ad blocker), but let's not do the #1 feature your users want. Make sense...

I don't always reinstall windows, but when I do, I really miss my extensions...

@gonzalesl I completely agree with you, but It seems to me, that no one from Opera cares about this thread.

before a time ago, I was using V7 Extensions Manager in order to save url links of my extensions. Now, because it is removed from store, I can't use it. SimpleExtManager is still good but does not give extension link. I found a way for opera extensions at https://forums.opera.com/topic/9395/extension-url-on-addons-page but what about Google extensions on Opera? Any ideas?

@user5 Syncronization of extensions can be quite hard to do because of the support for Chrome extensions. However, if Opera show url of extensions at the extension setting page, and if there would be a way to save these url links, it can be easier to install them back.
V7 Extension Manager was a good solution but it was removed from extension store.
Do anyone know any Opera extension that list the url links for all installed extensions? -

@njt145 I dont know about extension, but you can store all installed extension links inside a folder in bookmarks. I have done that.

@honzikprevratil Okay, how did you do that? I really don't know, so I am asking that... Just I mean, I didn't save them so how I can get each extension's url? I know about Opera but what about Chrome extensions on Opera?

@njt145 I have done that manualy one by one. But now, when I install new extension or unsintall existing I delete/add just one bookmark. It is a little bit faster to manually sync all the extensions, when you right click that folder and choose "Open all". I know it is silly, but I haven't found a better way to do it (yet). Same for chrome extensions (I just saved the links).

absurd that you can't do the backup/import at least with another extension?! it seems to me so useful as a function.

+1 very important and deal breaker for some people, especially for people that like to change their device often like tech reviewer. If Opera team want more people to user Opera browser, this should be one of the priority.

I just installed Opera GX, I reallly like it so far, but this is one of the first things I looked for. I can't believe I didn't find extensions under profile -> sync everything.
