@jakanmartar12 Yes version 89 messed up speed dial it changes color of some items, just start clicking reload and the colors changes. Also can't seem to get new or edited items to have thumbnails just text at a random color. The wasted space at the top shows poor design. Same here the only reason I use Opera is because of the speed dial.

I agree! The titles are too small and almost unreadable. Additionally, when grouping, the gray background is not very pleasant. -

Update Opera to version 99.x (stable). It removes all reported problems from version 98.x (including lack of subtitles in speed dial directories, inactive right-click menu in the Google search bar, changing colors of tabs in speed dial, etc...). Way To Go!

@frankosio the space of the speed dial's margin-top, or padding-top whatever; remains. it is so annoying 99.x didn't fix this issue...

The speed dial changes to and ugly appearrance.
I could not:
1 - remove bookng from tjhe top of speed dial page
2 - to increase de size of the units or shapes of the speed dial
3 - to increase the font of titles of the units
4 - to remove the google form the top of the speed dial windowCould be necessary to downgrading Opera (if is it possible) ? or to stop using Opera?

I went back to version 97.0.4719.83 and disabled updates by setting a system environment variable to.
OPERA_AUTOUPDATE_DISABLED
with value of 1. -

@johnhenworth
Go to the Opera directory (C:/Program Files/Opera/) and remove the current version 100.0.xx
Download and install version 99.0.4788.88
After installation, do not start the browser, just re-enter the Opera directory with version 99 and rename the opera_autoupdate.exe file to, for example, opera_autoupdate.exe.OFF
Launch the browser. It will no longer download updates.
This method also works with earlier versions of Opera. -
