Do you mean the omnipresent forum God leocg?
The one with 38,922 posts, who has never ever said anything critical about Opera in all of recorded history? -

@generosus They will listen the users feedbacks and make the necessary adjusts to Opera One UI, but once Opera One reaches the stable channel I don't think there will be an option to keep using the old UI.

@vegelund I guess they test with the regular users, by releasing the changes in the Developer channel.
A feedback group consisting of only Developer stream users is exceptionally far off the average Opera user.
That would be an inexplicable choice by management for the purpose of evaluating design options for the general consumer of Opera browsers.
If true, no wonder we get browsers looking like comic sans and bubble games.

@vegelund,
Excellent remarks. You stole my words
For crying out loud, as another good example, have you visited Opera One's official website? It looks like it was designed by a committee that couldn't agree on the final product.
Don't mean to be critical of Opera's mission and vision but, after using Opera for 12+ years, we're utterly disappointed with the changes they have made.
Quite a shame.
Salud!

It wouldn't hurt to ask them
Sure, I was just expressing my opinion on the subject.

I really like the new innovation and opera one direction of style. Classic browser bored me. But i understand there are still many people who dislike change. And im up for an option to choose for classic or modern looks.

It's not about change or not. A browser continuously changes and evolves.
For me it's about the process Opera uses to choose new design. I believe it is flawed. -

Don't mean to water down this topic, but going forward (i.e., Opera NextGen), we highly recommend Opera's Leadership establish a Customer Advisory Board (CAB) comprised of Opera Leaders, Developers, and select Customers to determine what's best for Opera and the community. It has been done, and can be done, successfully.
Hopefully, Opera Leadership is taking note on this.
Cheers!
