I am currently using Edge as my browser. I mostly read university documents in pdf format. In Edge, I can simply annotate them by drawing with a pencil, highlighting text, and adding text. Please add a similar feature, otherwise unfortunately Opera is not a viable option for me.

@leocg Do I understand you correctly that you make such a feature dependent on the development of Google Chrome and cannot/do not want to implement it yourself?

@cruede Opera uses Chromium, not Chrome, PDF reader (like almost all Chromium based browsers).

@leocg Isn't Edge also Chromium based? What holds back Opera to do the same as Edge?

@cruede The costs of implementing and maintaining it probably are higher than the possible benefits that it may bring.

So it's probably better to just wait for those features to be added upstream and get it.

@cruede I agree with this suggestion. Opera desktop could improve PDF reader functionality with edits. Today I use Foxit Reader for this. It would be a great differentiator from Chrome and other chromium-based browsers.
