I mostly read university documents in pdf format. In Edge, I can simply annotate them by drawing with a pencil, highlighting text, and adding text. Please add a similar feature, otherwise unfortunately Opera is not a viable option for me.</p>

Opera desktop could improve PDF reader functionality with edits. Today I use Foxit Reader for this. It would be a great differentiator from Chrome and other chromium-based browsers.</p>

<p dir="auto">So it's probably better to just wait for those features to be added upstream and get it.</p>
