Recently saw the "cashback" feature, so I thought I'd turn it on to give it a try. After all, money back is tempting. But, what it doesn't tell you, anywhere on their pages promoting the feature, is that not only will it disable all your extensions, but it will add advertising to every page, most of which is intrusive to the point that it banners that literally take up 1/4 of the screen. Also, if you enable it on Paramount+ which for whatever reason it's a site that "supports" it, you'll end up with ads in your video content where you had none before.
Very upset with Opera, who has touted themselves as being a streamed down "better" browser with the user in mind, selling out to covertly disable the built in and extension adblockers that likely brought most people to use Opera in the first place. What really upsets me, is they heavily promote this cashback feature without a word about the extremely negative aspects. Shame on them.

@dwyattgib Here it didn't disable my extensions and I couldn't notice any advertisement on the pages that support it.

@leocg What OS? I'm on windows 10, and not a newbie, so trust me, It did it and I've seen others make the same complaint about the added ads. I noticed it especially on ebay, bc of how far down the page my watchlist had to start because of the added banner ad. And it turning off all extensions was what really made me mad, even my google translate, they grey out and when you click on them it says, "your extensions have been disabled to improve your shopping experience"
