Ad block doesn't work in YouTube
Is there pressure from Google?
Because ad blocking doesn't work. Tracker blocker doesn't work either.
This happened recently, it never happened before. It's disappointing. -

Does Opera ad blocking block YouTube adverts ?
Never had any ads before my upgraded Laptop to OS W11, but now I seem to be bombarded by ads.
Any help appreciated.

@archaicwarrior888 YouTube and other pages are always trying to find a way to bypass adblockers. Sometimes they manage to be able to do that.

I don't know why, but on this special news site, when I turn ad-blocking on (and even disable acceptable ads) I get this result:
But when I disable adblocking and tracking protection completely, I see it like this:
In Firefox I get the same result as with adblocking disabled on Opera.
Here adblocking behaves exactly opposite to preferences. My guess would be: Spiegel partners with Opera (eg. on speed dial) and so is allowed to circumvent the adblocker.
Or may there be a another explanation for this?

This has nothing to do with add-ons/extensions (I have none, unless you count Opera VPN). The simple fact is, Opera Browser used to have a functioning adblocker that blocked the ads on YouTube - and now it doesn't!

all of a sudden I am getting ads on several sites. Gatewaypundit.com, theepochtimes.com. is there somewhere I should report this formally?
that said, I love Opera. -

I just noticed large intrusive ads appearing when they did not used to. I even have "acceptable" ads turned off. I went to the same web site using the Brave browser and no ads appeared. I thought Opera was supposed to block ads. It used to work. did something recently change?

I has the same issue on Opera One(version: 99.0.4780.0). on one website (marktplaats.nl) the option to turn on add blocking is even greyed out. Add blocking on YouTube is working now, but has been intermittently working lately.

Does anyone know how ads sneak through on speedtest.net
It used to be clean, but this season it has started to show ads.
By the way, the search box in opera://settings/adBlockerExceptions does not work.
Typing any text does not change result list.
Opera 99.0.4788.77 on Win10. Ad block active, no exception for Speedtest site.

It works sometimes, but if you view an amazon link it will keep pushing it on your blank screen. I installed adblock plus and use a txt file the same thing as FF which removes annoyances in fact I get less ads on opera compared to FF clearly the adblock companies are in cahoots with the browser companies getting paid like selfish dogs. They should be destroyed.

@end3rguy Which also sends you targeted ads, its the ad filter people not the software opera if you view an amazon link (I don't and will never use amazon) it will put it on your blank start page even if you just viewed it thinking you will buy crap. These are filthy dogs who think they can make money off you.

@vegelund Its not sneaking through they are being paid dogs and doing it on purpose. Fanboys list for example they are scum bags pretending to block ads but you still get them on google and bing they are sell outs who will die in a car accident.
