@leocg Of course. That's how I know it doesn't work. Ever since this most recent update. Opera updates either don't make any improvements, or they screw things up! Not only is this screwed up, but it wiped out all my saved accounts and passwords, along with my browser session. The prior update deleted all my speed dial shortcuts. Luckily I had a screen shot saved so I could re-build it...

@duke-nukem So you uncheck the option to show start page/speed dial on Start up and you still get the Speed Dial page when you start Opera?

@leocg I'm not given the choice for speed dial under start up. I have "begin with fresh start page;" that is unchecked. The next choice is "retain tabs from previous session." That is checked. There is a sub choice under this selection which says "display the start page first." The slider button is turned off. The next choice is "display a specific page or set of pages." This is unchecked. The last choice is "Ask me when Opera is started by a shortcut specifying an URL." The slider button is off.

@duke-nukem Ok, so the Display start page first option nis turned off. When you close Opera there are any speed dial page opened?

@duke-nukem You can try deleting the content of the Sessions folder in profile directory to see what happens,

@leocg Yes, but it had nothing to do with your solution. They vanished after the most recent Opera update.
