@leocg to the address bar or above, instead of opening the link in the current tab or the tab I want it to open in, it is downloaded and I do not know why it is doing that.

@drakodan Link to what page? Why you are dragging it to address bar and from where? If possible, post an example link here.

@leocg Like a document link in Microsoft word whenever I drag the link try to make that it opens in the tab that I am in or the tab I want it to open in instead of a random new tab it downloads it, that is confusing and annoying and I would like help fixing that.

PS(this a random question but I thought the benefit of forums is that multiple people can help you so why is that you have been the only one trying to help me so far?)

@drakodan You are dragging a link to a webpage from Microsoft Word and trying to open it in Opera? Or you are dragging a link to a Microsoft Word document/file and trying tio open it in Opera?

@drakodan Right, but it downloads what exactly? The HTML for the page? Does it happen when you try to open links from other programs?

@drakodan what document? You mean a .doc file? If so then it's the expected behavior since Opera can't handle .doc files
