Hello,
I must say that starting/trying to use a MacBook for the first time, for a Windows/Android person feels like landing on Mars and being handover a Marsian laptop to use... all new concepts and terms and ideas and ways to do things. fascinating!!
I took my son's laptop (MacBook Pro with 10.12 MacOs) and would like to use Opera browser on it. The normal installation fails because it say it need to have at least 10.13 MacOs, which I believe this MacPro can not digest. I searched "Previous Versions" and installed one. But the MacOs said I can only use software that was installed from the App Store (I think health and safety reasons). There was a nice book when I was a kid from Joseph Heller about this situation. I re-read it but it provided no specific resolution to my case. Anybody can point me to the right direction please. Thank You. -

@arnonpictures16 Not a Mac user but I guess there should be an option to change it in MacOS settings.

@leocg thank you very much for your reply.
The solution for me came from keep trying the "previous version" websites. Most of them point to a ftp repositories. Keep trying these, eventually brought a version, which is modern advanced one, that the MacOs, instead of reject it out right, warn about the software which did not arrive from the App Store, but allowed a confirmation to use it. Problem solved. -
