@vaclavz Not the dev, but he's stated several times that the Opera API doesn't expose workspaces so it doesn't depend on him "planning" to support that feature but on Opera making it possible at all.

I must be doing something wrong or not understanding something, but the "save current window" button does nothing? from my understanding, it would imply it would save the current window as a session, no? because when I check for sessions, it doesn't save it.

@ethas It does nothing. It's a bug.
My problem with this is that save current window sometimes it works, sometim es it don't. Quite irritating. Any plans to fix the bug?

The Export function in v3.3.3 doesn't work. I used it prior to uninstalling & reinstalling Opera, and upon importing the last export all I got was a bunch of old tabs.
I just performed a fresh export and examined the JSON file with MiTeC's JSON Viewer, and there are a bunch of elements for my open tabs, but there is no data in them.
The freshly exported HTML file is also broken, with all my current tabs missing.
Since this extension was last updated in 2020 it might be time to look elsewhere for similar functionality. -

Hi @GMtnezS, I tried a few session managers after I posted that message and I settled on Session Buddy. It worked well in Chrome and Opera, although with some annoyances. The majority of my browsing is in Opera but the extension came from the Chrome Store.
Then Session Buddy was completely rewritten. The extension still worked in Chrome (with many fewer features) but didn't work in Opera at all. I have been living on the edge without a session manager in Opera for a while now. Your note prompted me to give it another look and it seems they have added missing functionality and fixed the issues. It installed in Opera and has successfully stored a couple of collections. Time will tell if it works 100%.
Be sure to configure the settings to the way you want.

I don't know anymore where I got it from, but I saved the extension. Just installed it on the newest Opera and it works just fine. It's a "crx"file. Open it with Opera, it asks to open extensions and then click "install".
You can mail me if you want it.I have V7 Bookmarks, Extension Manager, History, Notes and Sessions.
