VPN does not connect anymore in incognito mode

Opera version 90.0.4480.48 portable on WIN10. VPN does not connect anymore in incognito mode. It works ok in normal mode. Tested on 2 different machines, 2 different installations.

Browser just updated to 90.0.4480.54 Win 8.1 and now trying to activate the VPN in a private window endlessly tries to connect "waiting for ip address".

@burnout426 I think I discovered a work-around. If you turn on VPN in the regular browser first, it should work then in the private browser.

Connect to VPN in standard browse tab, then press CTRL+SHIFT+N . Incognito mode starts with connected VPN.
