V7 Stash

Opera no longer allows the FVD Speed Dial, which has caused a revolution among a good number of Opera users, myself included (after 10 years). I love V7 Stash - is there any way it can be made to work in other browsers? If the developers are Opera staff, I understand why the extension would be kept exclusively Opera. Thank you.

@hgovernick: You can still use the FVD Speed Dial extension by simply installing the Chrome extension called "New Tab Start Page"...I know it's a miracle but this developer made it happen for us!. Here is a link to the extension...simply install this and set FVD Speed Dial as your New Tab Start Page option.....

The V7 Stash button in the extension toolbar suddenly shows a red line crossing it, as if it were disabled or something. It works anyway, but it's strange.

@nadie-nada-nunca
new version 2.5 with the fix is on the store
for some reason, this chromium version doesn't support SVG images for icons anymore
not sure is it a chromium bug or something changed in rendering engineanyway, it should work now
you can wait for auto-update (maybe couple of days)
or force update from opera://extensions page in developer mode (button will show up) -

Is there a way to get saved websites when sidebar apps suddenly got corrupted??
I really love v7 notes, stash and session but everything I placed there disappeared. -

I used to love this extension. It doesn't work anymore. Towards the end of when it did, it would often break your tabs or generally show other bugs relating to whether or not you've saved a page, requiring you to reload the page. Gigantic hassle. Use Firefox's Pocket feature instead. They made an extension for it: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/pocket-formerly-read-it-later/

@beeters FYI Pocket is not a "Firefox feature". It's been around for ages, formerly named Read It Later (as the extension title says) and integrated into Firefox for much chagrin years ago. I believe Opera's extension predates the service's integration into Firefox.
In any case, I haven't been experiencing the issues you point out with the V7 Stash extension. I probably need to switch to a different storage, though. Vux has disappeared. I hope (s)he is well.

Dude. I know. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwje8eWCpb35AhVDJX0KHfx0AQ0QFnoECA0QAw&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.mozilla.org%2Fen%2Fmozilla%2Fnews%2Fmozilla-acquires-pocket%2F%23%3A~%3Atext%3DWe%2520are%2520excited%2520to%2520announce%2Cthe%2520developers%2520of%2520Pocket.&usg=AOvVaw1_i_RtPAuuk_9aTceLlZ1E There's no way you typed that to me. I never said Mozilla made it, I said "Firefox's Pocket" which was 100% the correct and most sensible way to refer to it given the context of the conversation. I'm not an idiot. I can read the extension title.

Maybe he thinks I meant Mozilla when I said "they"? No idea what that guy's on about at that point.

@beeters No need to get so defensive. You literally wrote "Firefox's Pocket feature". That's why I felt the need to clarify.
Also, I never questioned your ability to read the extension title. It could be that a Firefox feature got renamed, just like the browser itself (it was Firebird when it came out).
So chill out, I guess, and I apologize for any stress I caused you.
