It's not my fault for seeing unsolicited new tabs. It's the extension authors intention. I just checked and yes the build-in ad blocker is on. I wouldn't think we'd have to protect ourselves from extensions! In fact, since I installed Opera GX a few months ago this is the only time I've seen popups.
And here in this comment thread is actually the correct place for me to complain. It's for this extension, and for other extension users to read. -
jimbop last edited by@vincekezel Maybe the popup's for mp3 are different from those for the YT video's. Anyway I don't have popup's at all. So it could be that my protection is somewhat better. Anyway the extension author, as far as I'm concerned can leave the mp3 download completely. Any video can easily be converted to audio offline.

theres an add and after that it shows vevioz site and nothing happens in the background, cant download anything

It's not like children can be led to use your extension and come across this type of content thanks to your extension.

If you are bothered by advertisements then you can activate the Opera builtin adblock or the adblock addon for Opera. so it should be all good now.

In fact and as usual it all comes down to people having no protection at all or at least insufficient. And BTW besides of the build-in blockers and protection from Opera it's not forbidden to use more and other popup and ad blockers. Again all the things you guys experience I have none of them all.

Yes, it's true, it depends on the user who uses it, sometimes something free requires a little effort to learn from users who have asked before.

Any add-on that suddenly let you go to another website is a red flag for me. Also, your username was another flag as well.

@kizuro then don't use it? No one is forcing you to. I use this literally all the time and the standard Ad-Block extension works perfectly fine blocking the pop-ups. Everyone's complaints on here certainly seem like user error considering the developer has been very upfront about how the extension works and the ads popping up when you use it.

Totally useless. Clicking on link only opens advertisement. This extension must be removed from addon section.
