I want my Gx Corner to be the default page.

I remember in 2020 or smth... that Gx corner was the first page i saw, and it was great. I had my free games, my store pages, my discounts... everything was beautiful. Until i day after a windows reinstall, first thing a see in opera gx is a blank speed dial page, next to a close gx corner page... since then i never used opera gx, but periodicly checked if that feature was brought back. But no. still no. I decied to uninstall and reinstall, and it worked, for like 15 minutes, after that, speed dial wich i hate. its good, but not good enough. Please Bring it back.

@razvanpacpac Check if you didn't enable GX Corner in sidebar by chance.

Click the Easy-setup button at the right of the address bar and turn off "GX corner in sidebar". Then, at the URL opera://settings/onStartup make sure "Retain tabs from previous session" is selected and "display start page first" is off. Then, the GX Corner tab will always opening when starting Opera, and will always be focused.

Even if you have "display start page first" enabled, a new start page will only open and be focused if there are other tabs besides the GX Corner tab opened when you close Opera.

Another way to do this:

Goto the URL opera://settings/onStartup, select "Open a specific page or set of pages" and add https://gx-corner.opera.com/. If you also want the start page to open, add opera://startpage to that list. This way of course won't retain tabs from the previous session though.

That's a decent workaround. But it should work without retaining tabs from the previous session, as it used to.
The other way you told us next, is not good because it opens a second GX Corner alongside the default one. unless of course you turn On "GX corner in sidebar".

@david27 The other startup option "Open a specific page or set of pages" should work for you then.
