Version:87.0.4390.45 (Linux) / Version:69.2.3606.65175 (Android)
Congratulations. U.S. Bank will no longer let Opera (either version above) log in! Chrome browser has no issue.
At least it's not a video codec this time.

@basilrathbone 87? Try updating to the current version and see if that works.

Version:87.0.4390.45 (Linux) / Version:69.2.3606.65175 (Android) are the latest versions available through the standard Linux Mint Update Manager and the Android update process.
I should have said:
The Linux screen dims when I click on the U.S. Bank LOGIN button but the login popup never appears while the Android screen just chases it's tail waiting for the login screen to appear.
That's two different versions of Opera on two different platforms while Chrome works as expected.
I think it's an Opera issue.

I am on 89.0.4447.48 (also Linux Mint) and I have been experiencing the same behaviour (the dimming, nothing happens after that) on various sites. I am not a US Bank costumer but I have just checked and can confirm your problem.
More important, though; I may have found a solution. If I allow "all trackers" I get access to the login box.
So the problem seems to be one or more of the 20 trackers...

Bingo - I added usbank.com as an Tracker Exception in Linux and regained access!
Opera for Android doesn't appear to allow individual exceptions to Trackers - either allow All Trackers and access my bank or block all trackers and watch Opera chase it's tail.
It's half a win anyway - Thanks!

@basilrathbone Click on the green shield icon in address bar on Opera for Android.

Yep! That's it.
I have no idea why the bank has decided to start tracking but apparently it has.
Thanks, leocg
