Opera GX malware warning

Whenever I open Opera GX my Windows Defender triggers a warning that it has detected malware. More specific the: Obfuse.SM!MTB.

I have tried most options but ended up uninstalling Opera GX. Now I'm using Google Chrome and there is no issue at all.

Any idea what is going on?

@graaskjegg same bro .. i think there is some sort of vulnerability going on with opera .. but my case was even worse u can see there is image that green part . its so weird that i was usign Opera GX beta .. which i was not . i got updated to beta user without even knowing it . its like a hiden update .. . still u can go for other browser not for chrome . go for vivaldi or firefox . till this thigs aren't fixed .. . i have one more i dont know how is this sound appears . its also hiden update.. .. that opera crashed . and gaved me beta privilages. . idk how this happed

@leocg bro u even know that there is no image showing that your a beta user .. i know that because the official supprt of opera GX . from discord i have discussed about that with them . and they did say that i was beta user unknowingly

@leocg I know this because once I uninstalled Opera GX and started using Chrome the problem disapared and hasn't occurred again. I have tested several malware software to see if there was indeed some malware in my computer. The results were negative. Therefore I believe the problem is Opera GX.

It may just be a false positive, but it's an irritating one. I will try to reinstall Opera GX in a few days just to test.
