1. the controls tab needs an on-off switch for all controls at the top that remembers previous 'on' settings. i shouldnt need to click 4 switches on and off every time.

2. there are no open in new tab, open in new window, search, options when i select text and right click..... cmon now.

1. Please, add Opera GX for Linux and Android, I now using Linux and I can't use my favourite browser.

@leocg I would like features like tab groups, global media controls like on chrome, being able to select and move multiple tabs to a new window, being able to right click on a tab or set of tabs and move them to any new windows (I know the workspaces exist, but the windows are less of a hassle for me. I use the alt+tab shortcut a lot). I also suggest a setting in which the sidebar will be hidden until you move your mouse/cursor close to it, which would cause it to pop-out. Not as important to me as the others, but it would be nice. These features are honestly all I need to be able to fully switch and be content lol.

I think lot of ppl are used to using "open in new tab" as the first right click option. My suggestion is to remove "open" option.

Please do add a download torrent feature like the one in Torch browser which has a built-in torrent downloader. Hopefully this one gets added because I tend to download many torrents and I don't like opening other applications just to download certain torrents. I've been a Torch browser user for 5 years now. Seeing this new browser for opera made me switch right away, only thing lacks for me is the torrent downloader. My wish is to add this feature please.

-Add an option for the sidebar to only appear when hovered over
-Make the new tab button extend to the top of the screen instead of having a few pixels above it of dead space
-Allow users to change currency GX corner deals are displayed in. Euros aren't the only currency in the world and aren't used by plenty of people
-Add an option to have the entire window close when all tabs are closed
-Make it easier/more snappy when dragging a tab from one window to another

The last two points make it infuriating to use at times because without realising, you've accidentally left 4 windows of Opera open with nothing on them besides GX corner

Unsure if any of these are possible, but figured I'd ask.
Suggestions/Requests:

• Ability to stream our gameplay on Twitch, YouTube, etc straight from the sidebar.

• Ability to access basic music player controls without opening the music player on the sidebar. (I know that the controls pop up on hover, but I'm asking for basic controls directly on the sidebar with no album image).

• Ability to open one of our speed dial websites in a pinned tab like we can for discord/twitter/etc. For example, if I wanted to watch YouTube or Netflix and Pin it so it takes up part of the browser window, while still being able to browse on the righthand side, like I can if I Pin Twitter/discord.

• When I hover over icons, not all of them have a tooltip telling me what they are. For example: the icons in YouTube Music player don't seem to be showing me tooltips (except the search icon).

I would like to suggest a in-browser volume mixer, so you can be able to adjust the volume of every tab, just like the one that windows has

So i got some bonkers suggestions that will improve the browser.

1. Opera GX EQ
   Having an EQ in the sidebar would be really cool. I love EQs they improve everything so much so if there would be an eq here then this browser would be godly. You can also make it more than an eq like the app called equalizer APO or viper4android which you can control the bass, impulse response, clarity etc but an eq is good enough.

2. Unique mechanical switches typing sounds.
   The current typing sound is decent but the sound is no where near "mechanical". So like the eq, i want a Opera GX typing sound control on the sidebar. It doesnt need to have all the mechanical switches only the best ones for each category. Example, for the category linear it should have the typing sound of the JWK Ultimate Blacks, Gateron Blank Ink V2s, etc switches because theyre basically the best out there for linear. There are other types of switches too like tactile (gotta have boba u4t typing sound). I would also love to have more control with the typing sounds and what i mean by that is the loudness. For now its really quiet for my opinion so yeah.

3. Faster downloader.
   Now what makes me rage is when the browser built in downloader is so slowwwww. So the downloader here is nothing special its just the same as chrome which is why i have internet download manager. If you can make it as fast or faster than the internet downlad manager then that would totally be bonkers.

4. Torrent downloader
   Nothing much i basically need this because i download lots of torrents.

5. Put a "not recommended" sign on the vpn.
   So many ppl think the built in vpn is cool but when they use it its just slow and dumb ppl might stop using the browser. So atleast make a warning sign to only use this for bypassing or some other stuff.

6. Gaming center
   I recently found out that X mouse button is a malware so i need a serious alternative. So what you guys should do is make a center where all the X mouse buttons's features (Except those that are dangerous) like the double click on the left button/click, scroll click, adjust debounce time etc would be there. Also make an option for the thing that you can make the things you changed disabled for the browser because i dont wanna find some out of the box ways to turn it off.

Note Some of the features might be too great so you can create an opera gx premium or smth with these and i'll buy it even for 100$
NOTE: Some features will require opera gx in startup apps to make it global and not only for the browser especially for eq and typing sound

Hello, I am an Opera GX user and I really love the browser. Here are some features that would drastically improve the browser and put it above the rest:

• Built-in translator.
• A little more customization in terms of the interface.
• The ability to create browser themes and share them with the community.
• An option that deletes All Data like the browsing history when you close the browser.
• The ability to change the cover by uploading images on speed-dial sites.
• The ability to hide the bookmarks bar, except in speed dial.
• The chance to earn GX cryptocurrency while browsing.
• Improve data synchronization with opera account to save bookmarks and speed-dial.
• Built-in password manager service encrypted with zero-knowledge security model (like "LastPass").

I am aware of the difficulty of implementing all these features, but I believe that this is possible in the future, and that will make your browser stand out from the competition.

Regarding Picture-in-Picture option. After changes from regular Opera browser, i noticed that the Opera GX do not have the PiP option anymore.
So perhaps, will there be PiP option on Opera GX?

Hi,

I am an Opera GX user since recently (thanks to Let's Game It Out) and was very surprised to discover that a feature which is common to most browser since a very long time is missing in such an advanced and customizable browser as Opera GX:
Please give us an option to enable the dialog box that let us open a file when downloading it. You could even improve the classic ubiquitous on by adding some more options as "Save and Open" to still ask where the user wants to save the file and open it when its done.

I have done some research and have found out that this is a long time ask for a lot of Opera (not only Opera GX) users who were (as I am) very disappointed to lose this feature.
I thus wanted to clarify some points:

• There will be no drawback in adding this feature if you add it as unactivated per default as users that were, as it has been reported, "confused" by not knowing whether the file is somewhere on the hard drive or not will not see any change
• Opera GX is mostly put forward as a browser designed for "gamers". I truly believe you can consider this marketing target as different from the lamba user who does not understand how downloading works and what is a temporary and/or cache folder
• It really is a loss compared to other browsers and has already pushed out many users (I have seen many reporting quitting Opera browsers in topics about this feature and friends I warn about this before making them chose Opera GX often consider it too much of a loss to start using OGX)

This is really quite perfect for me. I have been using almost exclusively lately. It just works better for my internet and in-game performance. My only two gripes are these:

1. I would like to be able to ctrl-click tabs from one instance of my browser, and collectively move them to the other instance. As in, if I have two open windows of Opera, I can drag any number of tabs from one to the other all at once through multiselecting.

2. When closing out of tabs, they currently grow instantly to fill up the new empty space, but it would be nice if they stayed where they are until I am done exiting out of tabs. If you want an example of what I mean, in Google Chrome you can open like 20 tabs, and if you just spam click the "x" button in one place on one of the tabs, the rest will stay the same size and just move to the position of your mouse so that you can just hit x on them over and over again, and then AFTER you are done they fill in the space on the top bar.

Those are the only two things that I would adore. That and being able to customize the top bar graphic, but that's more of a luxurious request than functional.

Opera GX should have some sort of tab grouping feature, Its the only thing keeping me from switching from chrome to GX. I have multiple classes that I need to keep multiple tabs open for and I could never deal with 30+ ungrouped tabs.
