How to fix "Interrupted: Download error"?

Hello all,
I have tried to download any type of file (including .pdf and .docx files) but always get the same message a second after starting the download:
"Interrupted: Download error".
Resuming the download does not help.
I am using a Dell Latitude E7270 with Windows 10 and Opera Version 73.0.3856.284.
No VPN enabled, stable connection. Same downloads in Firefox work fine.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

This was asked last year and no one responded (Re: How to fix "Interrupted: Download error"?) but maybe someone will now.
No matter what I do I get "Interrupted: Download error" if I try to download something. It's anything and everything, from a Word doc to a PDF, from a font to an exe. I have restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled, added and removed and readded firewall exceptions, and so on.
I'm on a Surface laptop running Windows 10 Pro wersion 10.0.19043 build 19043. Opera is up to date.
Here's a screenshot of what I get whenever I try to download:
... Oh, nevermind. I can't upload to the forum because I keep getting "Error something went wrong with the parsing server response" when I try to upload here.

riazahmad90 Banned last edited by@gideonse I was facing the same issue 2 month ago, then someone said to reinstall the opera to latest version and I tried the issue gone. You must try it.

@riazahmad90 Alas, I tried uninstall and clean re-install, and I've updated and so on. No luck.
