Blocking Pop Ups on Whitelisted Pages.

This behavior is the same on both GX and regular version. I have been using Opera in my working environment for several years and have had no problems. We have several functions that will pop up a desired popup. Turning off Privacy Protection has always allowed those popups. However the newest version will not allow these popups to work even if Privacy Protection is turned off. This is a significant problem for me because as part of my work flow I need these popups to work. I have been reduced to using Edge which is a good browser but does not give me features like workspaces which I use heavily.
Is there a hidden Dev setting that I can look for? I really don't want to have to abandon Opera.

@browsalicious The pop-up blocker is enabled/disabled here: opera://settings/content/popups

@leocg Yeah I knew about that one. It is not changing anything.
To be clear this used to work perfectly. Latest version broke it.

@browsalicious Try enabling pop-ups through the padlock/world badge while on the pages. Also disable ad and tracker blockers.

@leocg I think what is being missed here, is that this was working in the previous release. All the settings for permissions are correct. popups are enabled, Ads and trackers are enabled.
Something in this new release has changed.How can I download a previous release?
