I didn't say you did say it. I understood that your suggestion was to rule out network issues. I added the comment just to say if I couldn't get good performance of 16 w/o wifi, I wouldn't bother w/it. I do believe it's at least in part, if not fully, an issue w/memory or storage or phone since I'm experiencing an increasing level of instability in general. I hope I can find out what's going on. On the other hand I noted quite a few similar negative comments about the browser.

Dear all,
we have released a minor upgrade to Beta today. It contains fixes for Off-road mode and also changing default setting for image quality compression.
The update is available now in Google Play. All users are recommended to update.

we have released a bug fixing upgrade to Beta today. It contains yet another batch of fixes for Off-road mode and also brings Beta build closer to Final one in terms of bug fixes.

Just installed it and it already crashed twice on http://www.thephoblographer.com/

Terrible browser. Three times slower than Mini, web pages constantly freeze...
Developer should be shot.

lol. You realize there's a fundamental difference between Mini and full browsers like this one which is the cause of the performance discrepancy right?

Is there an option to configure opera beta 16 like opera:config ?
I want to edit the setting " Use bitmap fonts for complex scripts"
Because Hebrew does not display correctly, it displays as rectangles.
In opera mini and opera classic and Android browser, Hebrew display correctly.
I'm using galaxy W with Android 2.3.6
