Hi, I had the same problem but I found a solution. You should not try to login with the QR code, you must enter with your email and password, then it will give a problem to synchronize your bookmarks and information, try to login again, as suggested, but it will not allow it, below it will say if you have problems entering, select that option, once there it will tell you to follow a few steps in www.sync.opera.com, then you will have to press "Reset Passphrase" and then enter with your password, it will work there.

Damm even I am having a similar kind of issue, I have searched all over the internet and even have posted on number of threads on different forum, no solution seems to work. I am really frustrated, can anyone of you here help me resolve this issue, I am very much tired now.

@michster I have the same problem with an older Android phone that I just use as a tablet/pad. I think it's because it's an old version of android, 6.0, that is simply not compatible.
I can install and use Opera by itself but I can't sync with my other newer phone or my laptop -

I put Opera on TV BOX. There is NO camera. What should be done in this case?

I was able to solve this problem by rolling back to an earlier version of Opera. I downloaded Opera 85. Then opera.com/connect works just fine.
