[Solved]Why Opera is blocked in Philippines?

I found old post about this problem, but I could not reply there because its already closed for comments. Opera tells me there is a new update available, but I can not download the update because the opera website is blocked here in the Philippines. I am not sure why you are doing this, but it is a bit strange to exclude specific countries from accessing Opera.com. Right now I am using the VPN connection to access this website. Is this actually how you want me to do it?You don't want users from Philippines to access Opera.com???

@leocg Is my internet provider blocking it? Why is it being blocked? What is the reason for this? It does not make sense to me.

@danielkoepf Yes, most probably it's being blocked by your ISP. And they probably are following orders.
Why Opera sites and servers are being blocked? Only your ISP can tell. You can try using a VPN to connect to Opera.

Yes. ISPs in Egypt, Bangladesh, Nepal, Jordan, and the Philippines are known to block the opera.com domain. Not sure why. You'd have to ask your ISP. Might be something mandated by your country and might be a political issue against China (since a Chinese group of companies owns Opera.)

@burnout426 Thank you so much for helping me understand. It is really silly so block a website because the company is owned by Chinese. Sure, Philippines has issues with China, but blocking websites does not change a thing about it... (And I guess the philippine government is not familiar with VPN...)
