      Windows 7.

After upgrading to 76.0.4017.94 from version 75, it no longer sees my Google rev2 Chromecast. I get "Looking for devices" for a few seconds, and then "No devices found"

If I turn on my (older) smart tv, Opera continues as it always has to see the built-in Chromecast on my TV, which no doubt is an older implementation of Chromecast. (Opera previously saw both)

On an 8 month old Chromium install on Ubuntu, I continue to cast just fine to my rev2 Chromecast.

I want to go back to the Opera 75 version tree.

There are some steps here https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/rollback_version , to downgrade to an earlier version, but I am concerned I will lose my current session with 100 tabs, cookies, history etc.

I have Session buddy for my tabs from previous Opera crashes where I've lost them all so there's that, but I'd need to be sure that was backed up too.

Is there any way to simply run an older executable in place without breaking things? Then perhaps the next Opera update will fix what was broken.

      Thanks

@ultraj Reinstalling a program, even it's previous version, should not mess with your data.

@leocg Thanks for that, and sorry to be pedantic, but, if I follow those instructions verbatim I posted above to downgrade, my session should remain in tact you're saying without losing cookies, history, currently opened tabs (it's a lot of work I'd lose)?

          Thanks again

@ultraj If the data is so important to you, do a backup before, but if you do as described in the link, you should loose any data.
