Using Opera has become a pain in the ass (passwords bugged and Java features lagging)

Upgraded finally to latest Opera 17 and was horrified that passwords don't get saved anymore. Have logged to Hotmail and Blogger several times and it doesn't even ask to save them. Ctrl+enter doesn't do anything.
Another thing is I don't have quick way to swap javascript ON and OFF like it used to be by just pressing F-12. I tried completely blocking javascript and just listing sites where it would be allowed but it didn't work because for example Hotmail changes the mail server address frequently (at least for many different logins).
Or is there recent good javascript blocking extension like in Firefox?
Good job ruining the last good pieces of the browser, I'm finally out to use other browsers. Please fix these. Using Opera has become a pain in the ass.

My bad... same save password problem with Firefox too. Secure sites block the login saving.
Had no problem with this while using Opera 12.Basically I'm screwed, I have 4 Hotmails for different purposes to log in regularly.
What is the latest version of Opera that supports the old password wand.dat? And where to get it?

I just "upgraded" to Opera 18 and like Opera 17, the Key that would insert userID and password in older versions of Opera is conspicuous by its absence. Control+enter doesn't do anything helpful. What good does it do to save/manage passwords if they won't fill???

I haven't seen a response to my post in the thread.
Am I missing something: is there hidden functionality I'm not aware of; is anyone else having the same problem???

Something seems to be wrong with your settings. When you go to a (login) page, Opera automatically fills the username and password fields if the data is already known.
Maybe you have disabled autofill?
