Works well with Opera 12 of course but 17 doesn't work at all. It opens a new windows..o_O wtf! and close itself then nothing.
Website Dotacash in current games tab, doesn't work well either. -

That's kind of ironic that old Opera still works. I cannot get "in reply to" to show me the reply. It just opens another tab with the same video and starts playing it.

Latest stable version still didn't fix the problem.
I hate having to open another browser just to post a comment. -

I was having this problem as well in Opera 19. The only way i can get Youtube login and google + login to work together so that i could comment was to uncheck "Block all third party cookies" in the settings under browser security

I can't post here (has been broken for me since Google + integration) not worked since the new comment system

Why Open the Web?
Despite the connecting purpose of the Web, it is not entirely open to all of its users.
When used correctly, HTML documents can be displayed across platforms and devices.
However, many devices are excluded access to Web content. -

I found a fix,
In Opera preferences -> Privacy & Security -> under the "Block third-party cookies and site data" Click Manage Exceptions.. -> Add www.youtube.com and then add https://apis.google.com
(I think it is https://apis.google.com that is needed for the comments as it uses 3rd party cookies https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/151657?hl=en#)
