How to Speed Up the Opera Browser?

Hi,

I am not experiencing a slow Opera browser or anything, but I was wondering how to speed up the Opera browser? I would like to get the most performance out of my browser, so I would be grateful for some tips and advice.

@oliverdavis2006 If you have not experienced any slowness in Opera, what do you mean by speeding it up? There is no general formula (not considering buying faster computer and better network connection).

Name some specific area, what do you want to speed up and then maybe someone can give suggestions.

For old, slow systems I usually disabled every OS gimmick, did not use antivirus (no comments please), distributed HDD load between different disks - nowadays with fast CPU, plenty of memory and SSD there is practically no need to optimize anything.

I would like to speed up the general performance and the website loading speed for my browser. I do not have any issues with these areas, I would just like to get the best performance that I can achieve.

@oliverdavis2006 Nothing special to say, sorry. Putting hardware and network upgrades aside, there are very few suggestions:

1. if you have laptop, disable Opera battery saver
2. block everything - ads, trackers, google analytics and alike; if site remains usable, then javascript too
3. do not use third-party security tools or at least configure them to exclude Opera traffic and disk access
4. (for some video adapters) you may play with Opera flags, related to graphics hardware acceleration; I have no knowledge about those settings however and cannot recommend any specific changes

When Windows is installed, the "Power option" is set to "Balanced" and thus, the processor speed is reduced. Adjust to "High performance" and you will see that the PC and Windows will be faster.
