Opera does'nt store passwords

Hello,
my Opera doesn’t store passwords anymore, even though the function is activated. What can I do? My Opera-Version: 74.0.3911.107.

Until two months ago, my Opera browser offered to save passwords when I entered them. Suddenly all saved passwords have disappeared and saving is no longer offered, although the corresponding function is activated in the settings and remains activated. And no one seems to know how to fix this bug.

@maperli Opera will only ask to save passwords if the page allows autofill.

Also, it won't ask to save the password if it's already stored.

I know all this. I've been using Opera browsers for decades.
