how to save settings

hello fellow opera sufferers.
i change the setting but cannot see a box to save setiings
any ideas other than going to firefox

Basically you need to backup Preferences and Local State

Are you perhaps looking for an "apply" or "save" button in opera://settings to apply/save changes to a setting when you make a change? If so, there's no need for one. Changes are detected and applied/saved automatically.
