Opera closes down automatically after exactly one minute

Dear Opera fans,
Opera closes down automatically after exactly one minute. First I thought it was caused by my installed firewall/anti virus Comodo that had put Opera in the container, but I have now a clean installation of W10 20H2 and with only Defender.
Opera version 72.0.3815.400. It looks like some teasing virus, but I have a clean installation and only updated W10 with the internet connection. And installed Opera. That’s it. With Edge no problems. Before the problem occurred I had worked with Opera in the same installation for many months and for many years before. I have looked at the settings in W10, but can’t find anything that could explain this very strange behaviour. Any wiskids in da house? -

Online or offline, actively working with Opera or not, it will just close down. I don’t even have to open a website, the startscreen is enough. Strangely, being away with the laptop en returning home I start the laptop again and it is still busy with installing a new update for Defender. I open Opera and it doesn’t close down now and stays open! I am happy pappy. But because there is a icon on the taskbar that says that the computer had to be restarted to install the updates I do that. And, guess what, Opera now closes down again automatically after one minute. WTF?
I also have a problem with my webcam and I found something on the www that Opera needs to have access or needs a camera? Is there a relation between the two problems? Anyone?

No, nothing at all, just a clean installation, changed some settings in Windows in Privacy and Update, ran Windows update and downloaded and installed Opera. That’s it. Isn’t it weird! Oh, after that I downloaded some camera drivers from the Microsoft store to trie to get it back working. But the problem was already there before that. The item about the camera I found in this forum with title: how to get opera to stop trying to access my camera. According to a friend it might be that Opera tries to access my camera after one minute and if it can’t find it closes Opera down. Too farfetched?

I doubt it. I have disabled my camera on my laptop with Windows 10 and I don't have any problems with Opera.

Searching on the internet with searchterm Opera browser closes down after exactely one minute results in lots of hits. After reading some of them I can conclude:
• I’m certainly not the only one with this problem. • The problem exists already more than half a year. • It exists in muliple Opera versions and operating systems. • Suggested solutions may sometimes work. It looks like trail and error solutions. • Opera hasn’t fixed the problem themselves.
Now I know it’s definitely nothing that I did wrong I now have installed Vivaldi developed by two former top managers of Opera. If this works well I stick to it. If not I keep using Edge or look for another browser again. I don;t want to spend too much tome on this since it’s a known problem.
